Thank you to all who contributed to our 5 Year Securing Our Legacy Campaign!
The final results are in…
Our 2019-2024 Securing Our Legacy Campaign raised a total of $442,930 for the Syracuse Polish Community Foundation, Inc.! We almost reached our goal of $500,000, and are so appreciative of everyone who donated. Donors to the campaign will be honored with a plaque prominently displayed in the Syracuse Polish Home’s main floor foyer. Platinum ($5,000+), Gold ($1,000+). Silver ($500+), and Bronze ($100+) recognitions are currently being consolidated. We received several Anonymous donations as well, for which we are extremely grateful. A formal unveiling of the plaque is being planned at one of our upcoming Spring events.
Listed below are some of the projects your donations helped to fund:
Purchased a 3-door kitchen cooler.
Relocated and rewired the roof air conditioner.
Resurfaced the parking lot.
Updated the gas lines in the bowling room area.
Updated the electrical throughout various building locations.
Contracted Green Team Lighting to replace ALL fluorescent and incandescent lighting inside and outside with LED lights.
Lined the main sewer line that lies beneath the Member Bar flooring to repair cracks and prevent further corrosion.
Refurbished the new “Grotto” by fixing drainage issues, adding a sump pump, lighting, outlets, and paint to create a comfortable space for small parties, playing cards, and meetings.
Installed a new rubber roof over the entire building to halt the leaking and destruction caused by the former patched roof.
Contributed funds toward the concrete floor and electrical wiring in the refurbished bowling room area.
Installed new gutters throughout the building exterior.
Projects in-process for 2025 completion include:
Installation of a new Sound System in the upstairs hall that includes a mounted ceiling projector and remote control screen for hosting events.
Installation of an outdoor handicap lift for easy building access year-round.
The Foundation was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity in 2018 to offer donors a tax-deductible option for supporting Syracuse Polish Home projects, raise awareness and acknowledge contributions made by those of Polish descent, promote our Polish heritage, and preserve the building, records and artifacts of the Syracuse Polish Home and community.
